I build software. Recently that's been data and ML work: Python pipelines over federal aviation datasets for pricing research, and speech recognition for Kichwa, an endangered Amazonian language. Before that, a C++ game engine with custom physics and a geospatial job search platform in React and Node.
I'm graduating from Pitt in May 2027 and looking for full-time software engineering roles.

Software Engineering Intern (Data & Research)
Janus Labs Inc. · July – Aug 2026
Owned the pricing and market research behind Vindr, a flight booking platform for universities. Built Python pipelines over federal aviation data: about 370,000 ticket records from BTS DB1B and three years of route traffic from T-100. Ran an independent fare collection study that surfaced a pricing effect not present in public data, including one finding that overturned a pricing assumption the product was being built around.

Amazonian Kichwa Language Processing

Built the audio preprocessing pipeline that got field recordings ready for speech recognition, using DeepFilterNet and noisereduce for denoising and Silero VAD for segmentation, then running Meta's MMS model to transcribe. Also researched language learning apps for children in Latin America and pedagogy literature on how age and economic background shape language learning, which fed into the team's lesson design.

WatchTower
An AI surveillance system that analyzes CCTV footage to automatically detect violent incidents and flag the exact timestamps. Combines Google Gemini for video analysis with YOLO real-time human detection, and sends SMS alerts via Firebase when violence is detected.
MapedIn
A geospatial job search platform that plots openings as interactive map markers so users can search by location, commute, and regional density instead of scrolling text lists. Includes smart filtering, fly-to state navigation, and auto-generated LinkedIn alumni search links for each company.
Video Karaoke Maker
A cross-platform desktop app that strips vocals from any video to create karaoke tracks, packaged as a standalone installer for Windows and macOS with no dependencies for the end user. Uses Meta's Demucs source-separation model with an FFmpeg pipeline to isolate and remove the vocal track.
MODUS
A ground-up dungeon crawler with four levels, custom physics, and hand-built animation systems. Led a team of four through full-cycle development, from systems design to a 50+ asset pipeline and MySQL-backed persistence. Awarded Best Project of the Year.
